For the first time and after the success of the part-funded PhD positions, a fully funded PhD scholarship is being offered to encourage the UK’s best science graduates to pursue a career in the field of osteosarcoma. We welcome in particular, applications for both basic science and clinical PhD programmes that provide graduates with the excellent training foundations needed to become leading experts in osteosarcoma in the years to come. Multidisciplinary proposals are also strongly encouraged.  

Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony charity (Charity Commission Number 1166416) was established by Hannah Francis, a hugely inspirational 18 year old who very sadly lost her life to osteosarcoma in 2016. Hannah’s wishes for the charity were that a large proportion of the money would go to support vital research into osteosarcoma, to improve the lives of people with this terrible disease in the future. 

The trustees are now inviting applications from proposed supervisors for fully funded postgraduate studentships to commence between October 2020 and January 2021. Due to funding regulations, applicants must be based in the UK.
